In a speech marking the 39th anniversary of the mullah’s rule, Hassan Rouhani, Iranian regime’s President warns Iran must heed lessons of 1979 revolution.
Governments should hear the voice of advice, demand, criticism, and protest of the people. If the government does not hear the voice of criticism and protest of the people, it may be "too late" Hassan Rouhani said.
The unrest - the largest of its kind since a disputed presidential election in 2009 - initially began over price rises and corruption. But it quickly spiraled into a wider display of animosity towards the government and ruling clerics. At least more than 50 people were killed in violence between protesters and the authorities.
Also, more than 8,000 people were arrested or missed, and so far many of the detainees have been killed under torture.
The reaction of Hassan Rouhani reflects the fact that the officials of the regime have found that the Iranian people are exhausted of government and want to overthrow it. Therefore, Hassan Rouhani who is a part of the regime, and since 5 years ago has taken the office of the presidency, has not made any changes in the economic situation. The economic situation has deteriorated, and human rights violation has risen sharply.
Therefore, he felt the threat and it made him warn Ali Khamenei that the threat of overthrow is real and the Mullahs should think of a solution to preserve their sovereignty.
