Iran: More than 13% of Iranians suffer from depression
The secretary of the Scientific Association of Psychiatrists, Arash Mirabzadeh, announced that some 13.5% of the Iranian population suffer from depression."Twenty-three percent of the population, aged 15-64, suffer from some kind of a psychiatric disorder...
According to recent studies conducted in Iran, the number of depressed women is about 16% and about 10% of men have been reported to be depressed. Psychiatric disorders in general can be found in 26% of women and 20% of men.” (The state-run ILNA News Agency – September 19, 2017)
